So, tell me. When someone comes up to me and says, "Hey! I skate." Am I to assume that is rollerblading or skatebording? I'm sure there's some sort of jargon that I'm not in on. Of course, I could've just asked the person to clarify, but I was a fool and didn't think of it at the time.
It's different with everybody. A lot of rollerbladers just say "they skate" so they don't have to go through all the bullshit of having to explain what rollerblading is and all the skateboarding pro and con questions that come along with it.
Some rollerbladers these days are calling it "free-style rollling" or just "rolling." But shit man, I've been doing this for 14 years plus and to me it's just rollerblading plain and simple.
Sure, a lot of guff comes with saying you rollerblade but I'm proud of what I do and others should be too.
Just look back at the pictures of all those kids and then look at us white kids skating in the ghetto, then imagine all the beautifully poetic things that could come out of everyone's mouths.
these r sick, and the one of andy in front of the crowd is so cool, because i feel like it says something about how people react to rollerblading, and my favorite one is the victory shot cuz it looks like hes flyin
Oh yeah, definitely. The kids at first were all like "This shit is wack." And five minutes later when Andy Pants started busting 450 shit they was like "I need me some dem moon boots!"
No way jose, it's still around. Rollerblading is underground and growing. Even the hip-hop community is getting into it in a huge way. We are coming up indeed.
Hi, I am from Bogota, Colombia, and your pictures clearly depict exactly how it feels to put on a pair of rollerblades and grind, it's amazing, unbelievable, and universal. Keep up the good work (josefelipemoreno@hotmail.com
really great collection of pics. i think you have a really different approach to taking skate pics, and i like it very much. most of all the quality of the film and lens settings make for a real interesting and original point of view of rolling.
